Case Study- Stainless Steel Chute and Polycarbonate guarding

An existing customer required a stainless steel chute for separating parts from a particular type of mould. The chute and guarding unit was designed from a previous one already completed and in operation. The unit was designed with consultation with the customers project engineer and YEL personnel. the stainless steel chutes are completely enclosed with a polycarbonate plastic, eliminating the risk of any operators or staff coming into contact with the robot during the operation. The project consisted of:
  • meeting customers project engineers
  • develop and design a suitable chute and guarding for the process
  • a detailed drawing
  • submitting of quote and project timeline
  • fabrication and installation of chute and guarding
